“Developing Climate Investment Project Pipelines in Cambodia”

On the morning of August 29th, 2024, the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), co-organized a workshop on “Developing Climate Investment Project Pipelines in Cambodia.

The event was held under the high presidency of H.E. Sou Socheat, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as the Director General of the SERC, and Ms. Denna Morris, Economic Affairs Officer in the Macroeconomic Policy and Financing for Development Division of the UNESCAP.

This workshop was organized as part of UNESCAP’s Climate Invest Initiative in partnership with SERC. It aimed to validate the findings of UNESCAP’s research on the development of green and sustainable project pipelines, discuss the challenges and opportunities in increasing financial flows to green projects in Cambodia, and gather insights from leaders in sustainable finance and explore best practices that have been leveraged in Cambodia.
